1. Overview of the system process The purified water system consists of a purified water preparation system and its distribution pipe network. The raw water is pressurized by the raw water pump and enters the pretreatment system (multi-media filter, activated carbon filter, softener) from the raw water tank to become demineralized water. The demineralized water passes through a security filter, controls the temperature through a heat exchanger, and then pressurizes it into the RO device by a high-pressure pump to become RO water. RO water is ionized by the EDI device to become purified water and enters the purified water storage tank. In the purified water distribution network, the purified water circulating pump supplies water to the point of use and finally back to the purified water storage tank. ![]() Process flow of purified water preparation system: After start-up, the RO inlet water pressure reaches more than 0.2 MPa (2 bar), and it enters the flushing RO state. The necessary condition for entering the flushed EDI state from the flushed RO state is that the conductivity of the RO effluent is controlled below 10 μS/cm, and the flushing EDI enters the next working state.
The purified water preparation system has two working states, which require the purified water distribution system for joint control: when the liquid level of the purified water storage tank is low, the purified water preparation system will flush the EDI device, wait for the conductivity of the EDI effluent to reach below 0.5 μS/cm, start normal water production, and the water quality conductivity can eventually be stabilized at 0.06 μS/cm. When the purified water distribution level is high, the purified water preparation system switches from the water production state to the low-frequency flushing state, so that the purified water preparation system is always in a running state, avoiding stagnant water and reducing the breeding of microorganisms.
Water treatment in a purified water system is a multi-stage tandem process, with each stage removing a certain amount of contaminants. Because water is polar and hydrogen-bonded, water can dissolve, adsorb and absorb various substances, which leads to many types of pollutants in water. Water treatment technology and objects.
The raw water tank is the first treatment unit of the purified water preparation system, which can act as a buffer and ensure the stable operation of the system. At the same time, the addition of sodium hypochlorite reagent to the raw water tank can effectively inhibit the reproduction of microorganisms. Multi-media filter, activated carbon filter and softener form a pretreatment system, the raw water is treated into demineralized water, and the treated demineralized water can enter the RO device, which can effectively protect the subsequent device and ensure the quality of RO water. The multi-media filter is composed of quartz sand and anthracite, which can adsorb suspended particles above 10 μm. Activated carbon filter uses a porous structure to adsorb organic matter and control residual chlorine.
When the residual chlorine concentration in the softener is too high, the resin in the softener will be poisoned, so that the exchange capacity of the softener will be reduced, and the exchange capacity of the resin cannot be restored by regeneration. The softener uses sodium-type softening resin to ion exchange calcium ions and magnesium ions, reducing the hardness of water and preventing fouling in the water system.
